Established by Paddy Cahill in 1917, Coole Timber Products is a fourth-generation, family-run sawmill in Coole, Gort, Co. Galway.
From steam-powered saws to modern sawmilling, our technology has changed, but our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail has remained the same.
We supply construction timber, fencing, decking, flooring, cladding, sleepers and bespoke timber products, with timber cut to order to suit your project.

Pergolas
Douglas Fir pergolas are in high demand again this summer!
Pergolas are a great addition if you are looking for a way to expand your home’s living space. They serve as an extension to any outdoor area such as porches, patios, decks, entryways, garages, backyards, and so on.
A standard pergola will most often uses 6″ x 6″ thick posts, but for added effect, as like the pergola below, up to 12” X 12” can be cut to order

Exposed charred beams
This freestanding gazebo was built showing exposed thick 12” X 12” beams, this can add a beautiful and striking effect to a garden. The charring of these beams gives protection to the Douglas Fir as well as aesthetics.
